Cami Boreal is a video artist and Vj performer, working in São Paulo, Brazil, where she dedicates her works to the city music scene, on events such as SP na Rua, Audio Visual Ao Vivo (AVAV), Mamba Negra, Ballet Fractal, Voodoohop and Blum.

 

Her visuals work uses photographic film, collages and painting interventions to create colourful light abstractions and psychedelic forms.


 

This process begins on analogic slides
& paintings to composes an digital database, where live mixing comes to projection sets; Magic happens on the screen.


Boreal is creator at the Caleidoscopio Imaginario, which studies slide projection between the Quasi Cinema - Cosmococa Work in Progress, from  the Brazilian artist Helio Oiticica - to the aspects of Expanded Cinema - from Geene Youngblood.


Caleidoscopio Imaginario wanders through different landscapes on Brazil tours, from psychedelic rock’n’roll and electronic music scenarios to trance festivals - like Universo Paralello (Bahia).


The artist loves carrying portable light engines, such micro projector and hand lasers, creating poetic visuals also used for live mixing.
